എടുത്തുകൊള്ളുക;
നിന്റെകലപ്പയും, ഉലയും, കൊട്ടുവടിയുംഅതുപോലെവീണയും;
Religion (Khalil Gibran)
And an old priest said, “Speak to us of Religion.” And he said:
Have I spoken this day of aught else?
Is not religion all deeds and all reflection,
And that which is neither deed nor reflection, but a wonder and a surprise ever springing in the soul, even while the hands hew the stone or tend the loom?
Who can separate his faith from his actions, or his belief from his occupations?
Who can spread his hours before him, saying, “This for God and this for myself; This for my soul, and this other for my body?”
All your hours are wings that beat through space from self to self.
He who wears his morality but as his best garment were better naked.
The wind and the sun will tear no holes in his skin.
And he who defines his conduct by ethics imprisons his song-bird in a cage.
The freest song comes not through bars and wires.
And he to whom worshipping is a window, to open but also to shut, has not yet visited the house of his soul whose windows are from dawn to dawn.
Your daily life is your temple and your religion.
Whenever you enter into it take with you your all.
Take the plough and the forge and the mallet and the lute,
The things you have fashioned in necessity or for delight.
For in reverie you cannot rise above your achievements nor fall lower than your failures.
And take with you all men:
For in adoration you cannot fly higher than their hopes nor humble yourself lower than their despair.
And if you would know God be not therefore a solver of riddles.
Rather look about you and you shall see Him playing with your children.
And look into space; you shall see Him walking in the cloud, outstretching His arms in the lightning and descending in rain.
You shall see Him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving His hands in trees.
Khalil Gibran's poems attracted me during the times of my growing pains. The following are few of them. His words are deep with lot of inspiration and wisdom, his transformation from a christian born to universalism even with the influence of islam and sufis's mysticism, he was a seeker of truth, a teacher, nature's 'Agni' was in him always, his words came from his heart and so stirred oceans of thought and drenched me like a rain in the summer spreading a lot of fragrance.
Here are examples from this poem- religion:
' god be not there to solve your riddles'
'' your daily life is your temple and religion”
and to me, attitude; Your attitude in the preset is your religion.
Thanks again Mr.Puthenkurish

The Bible and its guardians, Religion says that ‘wages of sin is death’ and the only person who advocated a second chance for criminals was Jesus. And, if he was a man without mind and body he would have ended up as a dead god most of the religion is trying to promote. I challenge all the people those who are completely engrossed in religion and God to come out and debate on it. I like the religion of Obama; Do you?
Washington (CNN) President Barack Obama commuted the prison sentences of 46 drug offenders, saying in a video posted online Monday that the men and women were not "hardened criminals" and their punishments didn't match the crimes they committed.
Obama said the move was part of his larger attempt to reform the criminal justice system, including reviewing sentencing laws and reducing punishments for non-violent crimes.
"I believe that at its heart, America is a nation of second chances, and I believe these folks deserve their second chance," Obama said in the video.
The move brings the number of Obama's commutations to nearly 90. Most of those have been for federal prisoners incarcerated for drug offenses, who under current sentencing guidelines would have already finished serving time in prison.
The White House on Monday posted a letter Obama wrote to one of the prisoners whose sentence was commuted.
"I am granting your application because you have demonstrated the potential to turn your life around," Obama wrote. "Now it is up to you to make the most of this opportunity. It will not be easy, and you will confront many who doubt people with criminal records can change. Perhaps even you are unsure of how you will adjust to your new circumstances. But remember that you have the capacity to make good choices."
RELIGION : its chains are getting hard and thick. Its balls that are tied to the legs of the faith-fools are getting bigger and heavier. But for the foolish faithful it is a comfort zone for them. They are like those prisoners in France, they were freed by the revolutionaries, but by nightfall they all came back to seek shelter in their prison cells.
Don't waste time trying to free any of them. Let them live in the prison walls of religion and die into the emptiness. I am for those people who still have some parts of brain which is free and not poisoned. Yes ! You can hope and change yourself and break your chains and balls and walk free.
Those who are lame – get up and walk forward.
Those who are sad - throw your sadness and start laughing.
Those who are tortured- walk away from the torturer and enjoy your life.
Those who weep - wipe out your tears and start smiling.
There is no redeemer out there to save you. You are and you alone is your redeemer.
Be a lamp and darkness around you will disappear.
You can be a lamb, but do not follow lions.
You can be a lion too, but do not kill because you have the power.
You can be a rain, but don't flood; but be gentle so that you can nourish all.
You can be a rainbow up above, but don't be proud of being high and beautiful, but spread happiness.
All you have to do is ignore the hyenas that howl religion and god. They are howling to find out where you are and you will be their next meal.
Be a hero, not a victim or a follower of some ignorant selfish so called leaders. They are calling you to follow them not for your good, but to keep their victim close to them.
You are just a fat cow for them. Then you know your fate...............
yes, they will be out there spitting, fire and hatred in the name of some unseen god as long as you are stubborn to remain as an idiot.
Cast system
In the beginning cast system was intended to be based on one's character. It was not hereditary. It was purely a philosophical concept to distinguish people according to their character and attitude to life and the way they interact to others. But soon the society lost its ability to conceive this concept and it took the easy path. It became hereditary.
Anyone who was born in a Brahmin family is not a Brahmin . He or she could be warrior and dominating- then they are a warrior cast. One may be born in a Sudra family, but if they are pious and filled with love for mankind they become a Brahmin.
If one is born in the family of ''Scheduled cast” they are not tied to it eternally.
The choice is entirely on the individual.
Heaven and hell are not nouns, but verbs. It is a way of life, your attitude towards the present life. Heaven and hell are not future life. You can make yours and others life a heaven or hell. Choice is within you.
