“THE CROSS-SAVIOR’S FINISHING POINT AND SINNER’S TURNING POINT” (Philip Eapen)
Father God designed a magnificent Salvation Planeven before the creations were made;
A Lamb was set aside to be slain for the sin of mankind.
Sent He down His only Son as promised and prophesied.
Conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of Virgin Mary,
To be born in the family of David and be called “Jesus”.
Father God assigned a tough task to His Son to complete while He was on earth.
The time He had on hand was too short.

Started He taking care of His Father’s business as early as He was twelve.
He came to His own, but they received Him not.
Believed Him not when He said “He came from Father God”.
Hostility, rejection and contempt embraced Him wherever He went.
Though beaten, stoned and ridiculed, quit He not His mission.
Traveled He from village to village, town to town and city to city.
Preached He the good news of Salvation to one and all.
Fed He the hungry, healed the sick, freed the oppressed and raised the dead.
Knew He well the kind of death that was in store for Him.
Prayed He to Father to remove the “Cup”, but submitted to His Father’s will.
As a Savior He came down to save the sinners.

His reward was a death on the Cross for all the good works He did.
They nailed the Savior on the Cross without knowing what they did.
Finished He the task His Father assigned and uttered He from the Cross: “It is Finished”.
For the Savior, the Cross was “the Finishing Point”for a task well executed.
The thief who was crucified with the Savior saw in Him a future King and Deliverer.
The Cross of the Savior was “a Turning Point” for the sinner.
He repented of his sins and died in peace with a promise to have an eternal life.
“The Cross, the Savior’s Finishing Point, became the Sinner’s Turning Point”.
