Joseph C. Mathew (Mani), son of the late C.M. Joseph and Sosamma Joseph, passed away on January 28, 2018 in his home in Queens Village, NY. He hails from the Palappallil Chooloor family in Kottampally, Kerala, India. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Miriyam Mathew (Ponnasseril Vilayil, Mavelikara), sons, Joseph and Philip, and brother, C.J. Thomas. He is cherished by his daughters-in-law, Erica and Anita, and grandchildren, Evan, Noah, Josiah and Aaron. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.  

Following his marriage, Joseph decided to pursue his business interests in Madras, where he founded Rosel Industries, a steel and metal manufacturing company in Ambattur Estates. In 1988, Joseph and his family moved to New York. Joseph spent the remainder of his career working as a cashier at J.F.K. Airport. He was an active member of St. John’s Mar Thoma Church in Queens Village.
