തോക്ക് നിയന്ത്രണമാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് വൈറ്റ് ഹൗസിന് മുമ്പില്‍ പ്രതിഷേധ പ്രകടനം

വാഷിംഗ്ടണ്‍ ഡി സി: അമേരിക്കയില്‍ ഗണ്‍ വയലന്‍സ് വിധിക്കുകയും, സ്‌കൂളുകളില്‍ വെടിവെപ്പ് സംഭവങ്ങള്‍ ആവര്‍ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ ഗണ്‍ കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ നിയമം നടപ്പാക്കണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ വൈറ്റ് ഹൗസിന് മുമ്പില്‍ പ്രതിഷേധ ധര്‍ണ്ണ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. ഫെബ്രുവരി 19 തിങ്കളാഴ്ച നടത്തിയ സമരത്തില്‍ നൂറുകണക്കിന് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളും, അദ്ധ്യാപകരും പങ്കെടുത്തു.
ഫ്‌ളോറിഡാ പാര്‍ക്ക്‌ലാന്റ് സ്‌കൂള്‍ വെടിവെപ്പില്‍ 17 പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും, ഒരു ഡസനിലധികം പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേല്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത സംഭവത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് തോക്ക് നിയന്ത്രണം കര്‍ശനമായി നടപ്പാക്കണമെന്ന മുറവിളി രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പല ഭാഗത്തു നിന്നും ഉയരുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളും, അദ്ധ്യാപകരും കൈ കോര്‍ത്തുപിടിച്ച് വൈറ്റ ഹൗസിന് മുമ്പില്‍ ധര്‍ണ്ണ നടത്തിയത്.
കൈകള്‍ നെഞ്ചോട് ചേര്‍ത്ത് പിടിച്ചും, അമേരിക്കന്‍ പതാക പുതച്ചും, 'അടുത്തതാര്' എന്ന പ്ലക്കാര്‍ഡുകള്‍ പിടിച്ചുമാണ് സമരക്കാര്‍ ധര്‍ണയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തത്.
അമേരിക്കന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡൊണാള്‍ഡ് ട്രംമ്പിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധ ക്ഷണിക്കാനാണ് ധര്‍ണ്ണ നടത്തിയതെങ്കിലും, വെടിവെപ്പ് നടന്ന ഫ്‌ളോറിഡാ സ്‌കൂളിന് ഏകദേശം 40 മൈല്‍ ദൂരത്തിലുള്ള ഗോള്‍ഫ് ക്ലബ്ബിലായിരുന്നു ട്രംമ്പ്.
ഗണ്‍ കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ നിയമങ്ങളില്‍ കാതലായ മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ വരുത്താന്‍ ഡൊണാള്‍ഡ് ട്രംമ്പ് തയ്യാറായതിനെ സമരത്തില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാത്തവര്‍ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്തു.
ഒരു കൂട്ടം ചെറുപ്പക്കാര്‍ ഫേസ്ബുക്കിലൂടെയാണ് ഈ ധര്‍ണ്ണ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള സന്ദേശം നല്‍കിയത്.

When there was school shooting at CT and 20 little kids lost their life in 2012, Obama did nothing to control Gun violence.
But not anymore. We have an American President, who has ability to take decisions. A President who has spine to stand straight, whoever in front regardless Saudi King or Dubai Shake.
Dear Students & Teachers! You are making history, millions are with you. There will be anti-gun marches all over the Nation. Those who have compassion and love for humanity is with you. Together we will ‘face the Nation’. We will work together to vote out all those who are supporting gun rights and NRA. They are just terrorists in disguise. They might be funded by Russians to destroy America, it is another style of cold war in disguise.
The ‘right-wing Media’ spreads lie, they are attacking you because they fear the power behind you, the Voters of America. Florida state House has voted against taking up a bill that would ban assault weapons & large capacity Magazines.
Don’t let the fire of love of fellow beings diminish. Let us fight and vote out all those selfish money hungry politicians from White House to State. Let the right to live in peace echo from state to states, schools to schools, houses to houses.
