Mother’s day muse (Mother's day poem: Jacob Thomas Vilayil)
Proverb for powerhouse sustaining life
Motherhood extolled truth abandoned.
Crafted neatly roses packed in pink
Plucked at the stem adorned for mom
Dearly packed, years of caress transformed
Hope transferred motherhood adored.
One day in three hundred sixty five
Time to reckon thy beauty thy soul
Many years passed motherhood, memory
Too frail to unravel the pain -the truth
Soulless merchandise masquerading love
Loveless life prolonged destiny, yours
Too dear to reckless abandon, days
Silence- deepened suffering thy virtue
Smile to reckon thy once lost love
Deeply enduring remorse in vain
Sorry mom, I forget, you seem tranquil
Translate words from cards to care
Frivolous words, reckless abandon
Hallmark, thy restitution futile.
A touch, a smile a caress you desire
A heart that ache for tomorrow’s time
Borrowed- a day, hour minute second
Burdensome to bother- you too absorbed
Best of thoughts, wishes plenty to pick
Withered sorrow in anguish suffer
Ignominy; thy abandonment certain
Resolution- The next day will return
Just in three-hundred sixty five.
