AAP frontline leader Kumar Vishwas’s racist joke on Malayalee Nurses condemned
Kumar Vishwas’ latest remark on Malayalee Nurses shows once again a thorough lack of sensitivity and probably a racist attitude emanating from Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) top leadership and especially from someone who is designated as their front line leader and star candidate in the upcoming Parliament election. It is clearly indicative of the fact that AAP and its current collection of leadership are not ready for the prime time. ‘It is abusive, disturbing and wounding to speak about those who have dedicated their lifetime in service of the people of India’ said George Abraham, Chairman of the Indian National Overseas Congress (I), USA. 'We take issue with AAP’s tolerance for sexist and bigoted statements and the time has come for them to accept the responsibility that comes with power and influence and make clear that there is no space for racism, regionalism and casteism and other forms of bigotry in their Party” the statement added.

This is not the first controversy involving Kumar Vishwas as he has hurt the sentiments of Muslims by making fun of martyrdom of Imam Hussein. These incidents are not just limited to Mr. Vishwas alone but also to AAP Minister in Delhi, Somnath Bharti who has been accused of racism after his midnight raid targeting African women in connection with an alleged sex and drug den in his constituency in South Delhi. Mr. Bharti has been accused of using racist slur against four women from Uganda who allege that they were abused, beaten up and forced to give urine samples in a drug test.

Please note that the statement was made five years ago. He has apologized for that now. Please forgive him for that. He is a poet, singer, orator, comedian, entertainer and a very good leader with a huge following. AAP is new and leaders are from all walks of life. Not all are disciplined yet as should be expected. The common thread holding them together is their opposition to rampant corruption in India.

Kumar was a Congress party member when he said that?
who is playing dirty politics ?. North Indians in general regard Kerala people as 2nd class or even slaves. The nick name 'madrasi' was used not in any good sense. Why this is made a big deal now- because AAP is a threat to Congress? Congress is the one who should apologize to Nurses and all Keralites. Let it start with Kerala Chief Minister !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
