“HE BECAME POOR TO MAKE US RICH” (Philip Eapen)
To reverse the curse First Adam brought on humanity through his disobedience,
God designed a plan of redemption through reconciliation.
Leaving His glory in heaven He came down in human flesh and dwelt among us.
From birth to death, He humbled Himself doing the will of Father God.
God chose the womb of Virgin Mary to conceive the Son of God.
In the fullness of time, Mary became pregnant and delivered a child
Whom they named  “Jesus”, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
Born in a stable as they found no other place in the city of Bethlehem that night.
They wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger.
He grew up as an ordinary son learning his father’s skill.
He was a Son of Man and Son of God while He was here on earth.
The only purpose of His being here on earth was to do the will of His Father.
Time was short and the task was tough.
Complained He not, but conquered He the trials and tribulations with the power of prayer.
They treated Him with contempt and mocked Him when He said ‘He is the Son of God”.
“He was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief.
He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities,
And with His stripes we are healed.
He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth.
He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before her shearers”.
He took upon Himself the punishment for the sin of the whole world.
“He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor,
That you through His poverty might become rich”.
He became poor to make us rich with eternal blessings.
