വാഷിംഗ്ടൺ, ഡി.സി: ഏതാനും വര്‍ഷമായി ഇന്ത്യൻ എംബസിയുടെയും കോൺസുലേറ്റുകളുടെയും പാസ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട്-വിസ-ഒ.സി.ഐ. കാര്‍ഡുകളുടെ അപേക്ഷ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും പ്രാഥമിക പരിശോധന നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കോക്‌സ് ആന്‍ഡ് കിംഗ്‌സ് ഗ്ലോബല്‍ സര്‍വീസസ് (സി.കെ.ജി.എസ്.) പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. പകരം വി.എഫ്.എസ്. ഗ്ലോബല്‍ ആ സേവനങ്ങള്‍ ഏറ്റെടുക്കും.
വി.എഫ്.എസ്. ഗ്ലോബല്‍ മുന്‍പ് എംബസി/ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചിരുന്നു.
എന്തായാലും ഇടക്കിടെ സര്‍വീസ് ദാതാക്കളെ മാറ്റുന്നതു നല്ലതാണോ എന്നു ചിന്തിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. ഈ സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ എന്നായാലും എംബസി/ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റിനും ജനത്തിനും ആവശ്യമുള്ളതാന്. എങ്കില്‍ പിന്നെ നേരിട്ട് ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്തു കൂടേ? എംബസിയിലും കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റിലും സ്ഥലമില്ലെന്ന് വ്യക്തം. മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലമെടുത്ത് എംബസി/ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റിന്റെ നേരിട്ടുള്ള ജോലിക്കാര്‍ വന്നാല്‍ ഇടക്കിടെയുള്ള ഈ മാറ്റം മറിച്ചിലൊക്കെ ഒഴിവാക്കാവുന്നതേയുള്ളു.
മുന്‍പൊരിക്കല്‍ കമ്പനി മാറിയപ്പോള്‍ ഏറെ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ജനത്തിനുണ്ടായതാണ്. ഇപ്രാവശ്യവും ജനത്തിനു പാര ആകാതിരുന്നാല്‍ ഭാഗ്യം
സി.കെ.ജി.എസ് ഓഫീസ് അടുത്ത ബുധനാഴ്ച (ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 14) അടക്കും. അന്നു കൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ വെബ് സൈറ്റ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നിര്‍ത്തും. എന്നാല്‍ രേഖകളും മറ്റും ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 16 വരെ സ്വീകരിക്കും. അതിനു ശേഷം ലഭിക്കുന്നവ തിരിച്ചയക്കും. റിട്ടേൺ സ്റ്റാമ്പ് ഇല്ലാത്തവ ഒക്ടോബർ 19 -നു എംബസി/കോൺസുലേറ്റിനെ ഏല്പിക്കും.
വി.എഫ്.എസ്. ഗ്ലോബല്‍ നവംബര്‍ രണ്ടിനു ചുമതല ഏല്‍ക്കും.
ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 14 മുതല്‍ നവംബര്‍ രണ്ട് വരെ എമര്‍ജന്‍സിസര്‍വീസുകള്‍ എംബസി/ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റ് നേരിട്ട് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യും.
വിസ: സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അനുവദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അത്യാവശ്യ വിസകള്‍ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റ് നല്‍കും. എന്താണു അത്യാവശ്യമെന്നു ഈമെയില്‍ വഴിയോ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റ് സൈറ്റിലെ പ്രമിറ്റ് വഴിയോ അറിയിക്കണം. മേല്‍ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റ് അറിയിക്കും
പാസ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട്: സര്‍വീസ് ആവശ്യമുള്ളവര്‍വിവരം ഈമെയില്‍ വഴിയോകോണ്‍സുലേറ്റ് സൈറ്റിലെ പ്രമിറ്റ് വഴിയോ അറിയിക്കണം. മേല്‍ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ കോണ്‍സുലേറ്റ് അറിയിക്കും.
ഒ.സി.ഐ.: എല്ലാ ഓ.സി.ഐ. സര്‍വീസും പുതിയ കമ്പനി ചാര്‍ജ് എടുക്കും വരെ നിര്‍ത്തി വച്ചു.
മിസലേനിയസ് സര്‍വീസ്: പവര്‍ ഓഫ് അറ്റോര്‍ണി, ബര്‍ത്ത് സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ്, തുടങ്ങിയവ പതിവു പോലെ തപാല്‍ വഴി അപേക്ഷിക്കാം.

235 West, 23rd Street, New York 10011 for providing outsourcing services for
Visa, OCI, Renunciation, Passport and Global Entry Programme (GEP) (Website:
www.in.ckgs.us) will shut down its operations at close of business on October
14, 2020.
The new service provider, VFS Global would commence its
operations from November 02, 2020.
1. In
this context, applicants can only submit applications on the CKGS website
before the above deadline. Applicants must ensure that the documents are
shipped to CKGS with suitable pre-paid return envelope in a manner to ensure it
reaches CKGS by October
16, 2020. Any applications received after October 16, 2020
at CKGS will be returned to the applicants without processing.
2. With effect from October 14, 2020 and till VFS Global
commences its operations on November 02, 2020, the Consulate General of India, New York will provide
services in emergency cases directly. Applicants falling under CGI, New York jurisdiction
are advised to follow the instructions given below to avail emergency service
Visa: Emergency visa will be issued to the eligible
categories allowed to travel to India
as per the advisories issued by the Government of India. Applicants for
emergency visa may write an email to visa.newyork@mea.gov.in or
through PRAMIT dashboard available on our website www.indiainnewyork.gov.in explaining
the exigency, The Consulate thereafter will inform you of the next steps.
Passport: For emergency passport services, applicants
are requested to send an email to passport.newyork@mea.gov.in or
through PRAMIT dashboard available on our website www.indiainnewyork.gov.in. Once
the request has been approved by the Consulate, the applicant will be informed
of the procedure for initiating application process. The approved applicants
may send the completed form by postal mail to Consulate along with return
pre-paid envelope for further processing.
OCI: All OCI services will remain suspended till the
new service provider takes over on November 02, 2020.
Attestation Services: Miscellaneous Consular services
such as Power of Attorney, Birth Certificate, PCC etc. shall be continue to be
